Melanie Field

Melanie's work is primarily influenced by nature and the mystical. Underlying elements of the natural world – pattern, rhythm, sacred geometry, and cyclical phases are some of her principal areas of interest. Sensory experiences in life inform her work, as Melanie is attracted to the ‘underneath’, the hidden realms, what we don’t see, but what we sense. Melanie paints intuitively, not having a specific endpoint in sight. Paintings 'arrive' at completion through the process itself.
