Gretchen Albrecht

Gretchen is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s preeminent abstract painters. Her paintings combine formal, historical, and ephemeral qualities, with sensuous colour palettes and stained canvases acting as generous counterpoints for rhythmic patterns of gestural movement, form, and scale.
